Scholarships

Whitefish Soroptimists College Scholarship Form for Women:

Eligible students:   For women who received a scholarship from the Whitefish Soroptimist Club for their Freshman year and are now in their Sophomore year but have not completed their BA degree as of yet.  Preference will be given for those whose majors align with our organization’s mission of working to improve the lives of women and their children.  Applications will be accepted from October through December 1 each year.   Winners will each be awarded $1,000 or more depending on how many women apply.   Checks will be mailed by the first of the year to the college or university each winner is attending.

Fellowship Scholarships:

Women in a “caring” profession are applying to or have already been accepted in a graduate or post- B.A. certificate program.   Preference will be given to those whose majors align with our organization’s mission of working to improve the lives of women and their children.  Applications will be accepted from October through December 1 each year.  Recipients will each be awarded $1,000.   Checks will be mailed by the first of the year to the college or university each woman is attending.   APPLY HERE!

Whitefish Soroptimist Memorial Scholarship for girls graduating High School:

Eligible students:  Senior girls in Flathead County High Schools in 2024 planning to attend college or university or other educational programs beyond the high school degree.  Criteria:  financial need and academic ability.

Our mission statement is  “A global volunteer organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment.”

Priority is given to girls planning to attend in-state programs.

Certificate Scholarships:

We are offering a new scholarship for Certificate Programs.  This scholarship is for women currently enrolled or considering enrolling in a program that provides a certificate instead of a degree. Applications will be reviewed monthly, and feel free to call if you have further questions.  The phone number to call is provided after you apply.
