SCHOLARSHIPS

All scholarships benefit women and use our mission statement as a guide, “A global volunteer organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment.”

Whitefish Soroptimist Memorial Scholarship for girls graduating High School:

**Application Opening in Early March**

Eligible students: Senior girls in Flathead County High Schools in 2026 planning to attend college or university. Criteria: financial need and description of your educational goals  Priority is given to girls planning to attend in-state programs.   Potential applicants with a relative who is a Soroptimist member may not apply.  Application window opens in early March.

Certificate Scholarships:

This scholarship is for women currently enrolled or considering enrolling in a program that provides a certificate instead of a degree. Examples of recent awardees include cosmetology school, massage school, and other certification programs.

Application window is August 1 through September 15.  Applicants may apply only once for this scholarship aid.   

Fellowship Scholarships:

DEADLINE DECEMBER 1ST

Applicants may be women who are applying to or have already been accepted into a graduate or post-Bachelor certificate program. Preference will be given to those whose majors align with our organization’s mission of providing women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment.  Applications will be accepted from October through December 1 each year. Recipients will each be awarded $1,500. Checks will be mailed by the first of the year to the college or university each woman is attending.

Soroptimists International Whitefish College Scholarship for Women:

Eligible students: For women who received a scholarship from Soroptimists International Whitefish their Freshman year and are now in their Sophomore year.  Potential applicants will receive an email invitation asking them to reapply.

Eligible women must submit recent transcripts from spring semester of 2026.  Applications will be accepted from October through December 1 each year. Awardees will receive $1,500. Checks will be mailed by the first of the year to the college or university each woman is attending.
