HUMAN TRAFFICKING AWARENESS
Soroptimist International of Whitefish combats human trafficking through education and advocacy.
The Soroptimist STOP Trafficking project, launched in 2007, aimed to address and raise awareness about human trafficking, particularly sex trafficking, which disproportionately affects women and girls.
SIW participated by wearing red and handing out anti-trafficking brochures at the Whitefish train station on January 11 th 2008, the first National Human Trafficking Awareness Day and published a letter in the Daily Inter Lake.
